Keep Reader current

Adobe regularly provides updates to Reader software. By default, Reader checks for updates once a week. If updates are found, they are downloaded and you are notified that the updates are ready to install. You can also check for updates manually.

  1. Choose Help > Check For Updates.
  2. If updates are available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install them.

To change the automatic download preferences, click the Preferences button in the Adobe Updater dialog box.
